Am not a big fan of super powers or super heroes, so I'll pass this one. Thank you for a great review.

I will never have enough of supernatural stories! Especially about ordinary people discovering hidden gift in themselves, it is like a modern fairy tale! And as additional bonus this one also seems very well written and interesting! Thanks for recommendation and congrats on BOTD!

It doesn’t seem like a book I would enjoy. However, there are some parts that are interesting like the diversity of characters.

This book sounds like a good start in the young adult and fantasy genres, but the errors present do not quite make it into a perfect book. I agree that choosing the main character as a black young man represents a departure from most fantasy novels as a young white man being the hero. His social awkwardness and anti-social personality make him an unlikely hero to root for, but one worth understanding and sympathizing with.

Rion sounds like a very interesting character with amazing gifts of telekinesis. His relationship with his mother changes when he finds out secrets that have been kept from him and the gifts others have. Thanks for a great review.

I love the plot and the super power thingy in this book. However, the poor character development and errors that affect the read are a downside for me also. Thanks for your honesty review.

Your summary for this book is so captivating and makes me want to read the book already. I do hope Rion's powers, which he didn''t give himself, wouldn't cost him his life. Thanks for the recommendation and congrats BOTD!

The book sounds really exciting and intriguing. Why did Rion's mother "protected" him all his life and what is so odd about Rion and his powers. It will be interesting to read the book and figure everything out. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I like that the author put a lot of effort into creating the character of Rion Grean. Somehow I can imagine a child of a single mother, growing up without a father, and growing up as a loner.

The review is great, I'm inquisitive about who Rion is and what his power is about. I'll love to read this book.

I like that the protagonist is a black teenager, but the sudden changes and drop of the supporting characters seem like a put-off. Nonetheless, I would still like to try this book. Thanks for your wonderful review!

"The Fourth Kinetic" by Brady Moore - Brady Moore writes a very provocative novel whose main character, Rion Grean, discovers almost by accident that he has kinetic powers. These powers help him deal with a life of constant moving from place to place following his mother's job opportunities as a freelance researcher. He is at his 6th school in 4 years, which turns out to be a different experience. You will want to turn the pages and find out more and more in this mystery story. Thanks for the review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting young adult science fiction novel about a young man who has kinetic abilities and after an unexpected attack discovers that he is not the only one. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

Reading the sample pages, I was in Rion’s corner, especially after the episode where he “held the door open” for a fellow student who was trying to get on the bus. Thank you for your thorough take on this YA sci-fi adventure.
