My favorite YA author is Jennifer Armentrout. I really enjoy the LUX series and the Covenant Series. It is just an added bonus that her adult books are great as well.

I would've thought this was a duplicated topic, but I couldn't find it, so I'll bite

I enjoyed the Suzanne Collins writing the best of the Young Adult authors I've read, but though I enjoyed the Hunger Games trilogy enough to read it twice, I wouldn't say that is my favorite series of Young Adult books. Probably because the subject matter is so dark, I guess.

My favorite YA author is Kate Brian. The Private series was how I discovered her and now I own every one of her books. Her writing is amazing and she is my idol. I even referenced her in my thesis for my Bachelor's Degree in writing. Untouchable is my favorite book by hers and there's few books that top it. She is second to J.K. Rowling on my list of favorite authors.

I think my young adult author is L.J. Smith. I really enjoyed reading The Secret Circle.

My favorite author? I mean... that's like asking how many hairs I enjoy having on my head... I need them all! But I suppose if I had to pick it would be Holly Goldberg Sloan. I loved "Counting by 7's".

I really enjoy Ally Carter's books. She wrote the Gallagher Girls series and after the first I just couldn't put them down. I was so sad to finish the series so I went and found another she wrote called Heist Society. She recently did a cross over of the two series and it was just enough to feed the addiction I have aquired.

Sarah J. Maas is my favorite author, loving her books so very much!! Throne of Glass series and the new Court of Thrones and Roses series!

Does Brave New World/ Aldous Huxley count? Or for that matter any books we read/ have read in high school that might not be targeted toward or noticeably representative of the YA genre?

I am going to agree with whoever said Sarah Maas. Her books absolutely captivated me, and the relations between her characters are incredible. I devoured Heir of Fire within hours of having purchased it.

There are so many to choose from that are good. Ummmm, maybe Cornielia Funke. Love reading the Inkspell books.

I love Brodi Ashton's "Everneath" series. I'd recommend it to anybody who is into Greek Mythology and it will definitely suck you in

Cornelia Funke is a good one. When I was younger, Inkheart was my favorite. I read it so many times my copy fell apart. Had to buy a new hardcover, but it wasn't quite the same lol.

Omg! I cant chose any one author. As I read many books I repeatedly get asked the same question and everytime I have that little torment inside my head. Reply if any of you get the same feeling.

Rainbow Rowell is a truly relatable and nice author, although I have to say I read volition and Lily Paradis is high on my list now too.
