I love children's books. There's so much creativity to be found in them. Magic, loss, reunion. Perhaps even friendship between socks! A funny story with important lessons. Great review too!

ock Lobsters is a unique and wonderful children’s book by Michelle Bulriss. The story begins with an elderly lady knitting her adult granddaughter a pair of socks that look like lobsters. The socks are magical, and when the granddaughter receives them, she can hear them talking to her.

One sock is named Sebastian. He is a bit grouchy and tends to see the dark side of life. The other sock is named Lola, and she tends to look on the bright side. The socks like each other and Emily.

One day when Emily takes the socks to the laundromat, Lola falls out of the basket on the way home. The story discusses the stages of grief that both Lola and Sebastian go through being separated from each other. Parents don’t need to worry about the story making kids sad, though. It does have a happy ending.

A great book for children that has sad moments but has a happy ending. Good for reading to children. Very good official review.

This might be a bit fictional for me but I know younger one's would love to read it.

The review only piqued my interest since it was quite a delightful read. This book will also be appropriate for fit for adults even though it was written for kids.

What absolutely adorable socks! But can one wear shoes or slippers with them? I am intrigued about how these talking socks will fare with inquisitive kids.

Well, this is a weird/unique story: two lobster-looking socks are used to teach the reader about grief. I'd definitely like to see how this plays out. Meanwhile, Sebastian sounds like my kind of guy...eh socks.

Another creative and magical story for the little children. But, I guess this one will be emotional as it will talk about loss and coping up from it. It also sounds like a book that you will read to your little ones before they go to sleep. Great review.

It's unusual for a children's book to decide to focus on grief of all subjects. Anyway, being a kid's book, I'm sure it ends happy and Lola finds her way home to Sebastian and Emily. Using Sebastian to teach the stages of grief is an awesome idea, and this sounds like a book for more than children.

At some point in life, we have asked the same question as Sebastian about how we failed to notice certain things. This book shows how to deal with losses and it is useful to children and adults alike.

I love the fact that Sabastine could express himself. The sock was personified. But I'm scared about the way he views the world around him. Happily, I love the style of storytelling.

This seems like an awesome book for young readers. I love that the storyline is realistic while passing out lessons for readers to learn from. I love forward to the fun also. Nice review.
