It would be nice to read about Shadow's adventures. I have read similar stories of pets who got lost and found their way home years later. Thanks for your review.

I like the illustrations in the book; they are bright and colorful. From the review this sounds like an excellent book for young children and the text is simple, and provides a lesson. Cat lovers will be able to relate with the story of the cat that goes missing, and would probably enjoy reading it to young, future cat lovers. Thanks for the review.

I can relate to this book because I have a cat named Shadow who loves to watch birds. Thank you for your review.

Ah, everyone loves cats and stories about them! I'd love to read it, even as a 34-year-old woman, haha. I observe cats every day, coming and playing in my garden, chasing the birds and having their own special adventures. If I'd have children on my own, I would definietely buy them this book.

Wow, the author's own cat went missing for two years? I wonder if it eventually came back. Sounds like a great cat story, thanks for the thorough review.

I don't usually pick children's books to read but I love it when they have an animal as the main character. Great job with the review. It is great that the author was able to make you care about Shadow.

It's a bit sad when your animal goes missing but I do like how the book is about the cat's adventures. A lovely review and I think this would be great for children who like animals!

What a charming children's book! I hope Shadow found his way back home. This is a book I am sure will delight the younger children. Thanks for the great review!

This sounds like a very good children’s book. Having dogs, I can imagine them running away to catch birds as well. The fact that this is based on a true story makes it even better!
