My grandchildren usually storm into the house after being picked up from school and can't wait to share all the highlights and lowlights of their day. If nobody is home to listen, children may not be that forthcoming several hours later, once Mom and Dad have arrived home from work. Short, open-ended questions can then be very helpful to prompt great conversations with their children. From the topics mentioned, e.g.
what they did with their ears, eyes, and nose, interpersonal relationships, and outdoor activities, it seems that the book caters to children in different age groups. Thank you for your insightful review.

Today's BOTD is a children's book that families can enjoy together, as it encourages conversation and opens the door for kids to discuss specifics about their day. When asked about their day at school, kids often say they did "nothing." This book will remind them of things that happened, so they can share in a meaningful way. Thanks so much for the helpful review! :-)

This book has really great value helping parents find ways and icebreakers to start communicating. It is really magic that happens when they take a moment to listen, so many problems can be eliminated, both educational and personal, when there is communication and understanding between parents and their kids. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

This review provides a thorough and enthusiastic evaluation of What Did You Do at School Today? by C.C. Lacavera. It effectively highlights the book's strengths, such as its interactive questions, vibrant illustrations, and engaging presentation. The inclusion of specific examples, like rhymes and activities, adds depth and makes the review relatable. However, mentioning the target age group for the book would make the recommendation more specific. Additionally, while the review is comprehensive, a brief acknowledgment of any potential limitations or areas for improvement could provide a more balanced perspective.
Overall, it is a well-written and insightful review that clearly conveys the book's value for parents and children."

Thank you for your review. I sampled the book and read several reviews. This is a wonderful teaching tool for parents and children. Using the book can help families to encourage their children to share their day. This could lead to other activities in which parents can encourage the children to learn lifelong journaling: a daily diary, drawing of a special event, and lists of songs and storybooks they enjoyed at school and more.

From your review, this is a book that I too would really enjoy reading. Children do a lot in school and sometimes they are shy to share what they did with their parents. This book will definably make parents aware of what their children do in school. Thanks for the engaging review!
