Thank you for your review!

“NICO,” written by Marlene Rattigan and illustrated by Sergio Drumond is a great children’s story. I agree that the illustrations are colorful and full of life. In addition, they are consistent with the dialogue which makes it a very educational book. I also agree that the value of taking care of pets is greatly delivered by the author. Prior to reading this book, I had no knowledge about sulphur-crested cockatoos. I hope the author does future books with similar patterns, giving us a fun and educational story with some animal facts at the end. This book should be on every family and young animal lover’s bookshelf.

Congrats #BOTD

Pets also love the companionship of people they've close bonds with, and I can see that's what made Nico sad and lonely when Kim and her mom went to spend summer vacation away. This is a great book for children, teaching them how to take care of pets and the importance of looking after them. Congratulations on BOTD!

Nico seems like an interesting child's book after all it connects the relationship kids and families share with their pets and how lonely pets can also get.

Nico is a bird that lives with a young girl, Kim, and her family. Kim and her mother go on a vacation, leaving Nico at home. What will Nico do when left alone? This is an educational and entertaining children’s book. Children will learn how to take care of their pets and will learn about different breeds of birds. Your review is as colorful as the book.
