I have a granddog named Bear and I own a rescue dog, so this book caught my eye. I am disappointed the sample does not include a sample of the writing. Thank you for your review.

As you said, the book provides a theme for an educational discussion and makes children more compassionate toward animals if they are made aware from a young age. An excellent review!

Lovely story. It's heartwarming to know that they adopted a dog in need of help. This book will be helpful in teaching children about empathy and love towards animals. And I wish that the book will be edited so that the reading experience becomes better.

This sounds like a sweet and interesting story. Dogs are creatures of habit and the little changes do tend to throw them off for a while. As a dog owner, I can relate to the story, especially today as my puppy is off because his boy has been out of town since yesterday! It stinks that there were grammatical errors and the story was flat at times. Thanks for you review!

I imagine Bear would be appealing to children because he seems human-like. The errors are critical, though. Wouldn't want to have to children learning bad grammar, would we?

Stories like this are wonderful. As someone who loves dogs, it's sweet that the author created a story about her beloved rescue dog Bear which will sure tug at everyone's heartstrings. I absolutely love the style of the illustrations, it's like looking at someone's precious scrapbook. It is too wholesome and the children will love it as they read the book. Congrats on BOTD!
