Then book shows the unique friendship of Grover and Steve, also it is an interesting children's story about Grover and Steve's friendship, given that most animals in the plains considered their friendship incompatible This story teaches children invaluable lessons that are very much needed in this time of prevalent quest for external validations and divisive ideologies. Grover, Steve, the leader of the donkeys, and the leader of the ostriches perfectly represented the themes explored in this story.

So happy with this great review on children's story.I really love animal stories.Children are growing up and need to learn about values that can help them fit in the society. The story of Grover and Steve's friendship brings out the essence of treating people well without discrimination of race, colour, gender and where they come from.I am so touched on how animals can overcome obstacles more than human beings.Thank you so much author Lee Cherry for bringing out a very sweet story full of lessons to learn. Congratulations for being the BOTD.

This review offers a thoughtful analysis of "The Unique Friendship of Grover and Steve," highlighting its valuable themes of acceptance, individuality, and courage. The critique of illustrations and plot realism is fair, yet the book’s core message remains strong. A well-balanced review that effectively captures the book’s impact on young readers.

The book has symbolism to show how people who have little in common can make great friendships. This is a wonderful book that teaches children about respecting differences and appreciating others uniqueness.

The Unique Friendship of Grover and Steve" by Lee Cherry is a story of ostrich and donkey friendship, which demonstrates the diversity of friendship or any kind of friendship; most importantly not to bothering about how society expects or accepts.

The book would be better if the donkey was replaced by a gazelle, as this change would reflect reality better. In the wild, ostriches and gazelles are well known for their symbiotic relationship. Even though they are different species, they rely on each other to survive against predators. A zebra would also work fine. Keep the plot intact. That way, kids can learn about not only diversity but also symbiosis.

"The Unique Friendship of Grover and Steve" by Lee Cherry is a story for children aged 6 to 8 with the main characters being Grover, a donkey, and Steve, an ostrich, are two very different animals in body structure and way of life but they forged a great friendship. Grover’s fellow donkeys and other animals considered their friendship incompatible. When an incident occurred in the Great Plains, no one expected who saved the day. The author used simple words so that children will find the story easy to read. There are many invaluable lessons to be learned by young readers. The illustrations complemented the story and the official reviewer found the defense of the plains not very convincing. I was disappointed that the sample did not provide more detail but I thought the illustrations were very good. I am looking forward to reading this book to my three great grandsons.
