One of the things I pride myself on is my relationship with my children, so I wholeheartedly agree that parent-child bonding is important. I never understood what I did exactly to build my own to such a perfect level compared to all the examples around to be able to explain and give advice, so maybe this book will help me in this regard.

Thank you for this engaging review. You concisely pinpoint the central plot of this book which is helping parents connect with their children, especially on the issue of conversing about what they did in school.., by asking certain open-ended questions. The book also gives a glimpse into the various activities children engage in, at school. The interactive resources, colorful illustrations and impressive presentation makes it a nice read.

This approach makes it easy to connect, even for parents who may feel uncertain when trying to engage in deep conversations with their children. By taking a genuine interest in their child's day, parents create a safe and supportive emotional environment.

I was impressed while reading this children's book with the way if presented itself, offering a bridge that connects the child and parent throughout it's content.

It speaks about the importance of communication, creativity and better ways to integrate kids in schools. I find this book to be a helpful tool for parents who want to be closer to their child. The book asks the best questions about their school days, through playful rhymes that help the child review their day and socialise with their parents.

“What did you do at school today?” by C.C. Lacavera is an interesting book that looks at parent-child communications from a different perspective. Parents’ lives have become so busy with their careers that the amount of time they spend with their children each day has diminished. Lacavera reviews many opportunities for parents to have fun discussions with their children about what they did in school. Lacavera provides short, open-ended questions that parents can ask their children about classes and school activities. The illustrations are wonderful and add to the story. The author provided great questions for very involved parents and parents that really do not know much about their children’s school days. An excellent book that I hope my children and grandchildren will read.

I think this is a great book for parents to learn how to communicate with their children, especially since life in general is so busy. Just that extra minutes a day to ask them how their day were can make a huge difference in them and make them feel tehy get noticed. Thanks for a great review. Congrats on BOTD.
