[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Cleo Can Tie A Bow" by Sybrina Durant.]
I have thought about different methods to keep my niece occupied and enhance her ability to take care of herself. I couldn't find any because she is 5 years old. Cleo Can Tie A Bow by Sybrina Durant is a children's book that keeps her occupied with an interesting story and a valuable lesson on bow tying and shoe lacing. This interesting piece starts with the picture of a girl, Cleo, wearing a pretty pink outfit. She loves to design her outfits and room with bow ties. She is able to achieve this with the help of the story of a long-eared rabbit and a fox.
I enjoyed this book because the writing style adopted by the author would keep a child occupied. I read this book repeatedly because the story was so interesting. I was exceptionally appreciative as this book taught my niece to tie her shoelace on her own. There is a detailed step-by-step process to successfully making a bow tie in this book. The pictures used in this piece gave me a joyful experience. I hail the cartoonists for their efforts in drawing such a colorful piece.
The author didn't deviate from the theme of the story. This made my experience enjoyable and the completion of this piece to be swift. I commend the author for urging readers not to try this exercise on real rabbits. This interesting piece is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
There was nothing to dislike in this book, as the author gave readers an awesome story.
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because of my reasons stated above. I found zero errors because the author’s editing and proofreading were professional. This piece would definitely help to enhance a child's vocabulary. I recommend this book to parents with little kids. The concise nature of this piece makes it something that should be in every home and school library for kids.
