It all begins when Hup the puppy continually shows up at a military training and displays remarkable qualities to the amazement of the soldiers. But things get even more incredibly interesting when this dog is gifted to Max and Mia's family. Now, Hup first came into contact with Max and Mia during a workout with some of the soldiers. The siblings immediately liked the dog and wished they could have him as a pet. So, it was a dream come true when the sergeant in the military base expressed willingness to allow them to have the dog. In Max and Mia's family, Hup assumes a role that would change the order of things in the family.

Hurry Up Pup is a children's story written by Justin Pierce. The story is simple to follow and well illustrated. Now, the major attention is on Hup, and Hup happens to be an embodiment of so many values worthy of emulation. This dog has distinguished himself while at the military base—earning for himself a doghouse and a special helmet—and has proved himself even more capable while living at Max and Mia's family. I think the author's approach of presenting this bull terrier in a lovable way is a nice idea, as this should make the inculcation of the values projected through him a seamless exercise.

Hup's presence in this story is pivotal. He devotes himself to teaching the family members, in the most fascinating approaches and manners, the importance of, and dignity in, keeping to time in whatever they do. The way he carries this out is as fun as it's impactful. Furthermore, the narrative is coherent and fluid. There are logical connections, beginning from the incidents in the military base to the happenings in Max and Mia's family, which I found really impressive, as I didn't have to wrack my brains wondering how, say, point A translated to point B.

The effort put into proofreading this book is impressive. However, I found one typographical error in the text. I think this is the only thing that needs to be fixed in a subsequent edition. Given that the aforementioned issue is not serious enough to warrant the removal of any stars, and considering the fluid, fun narrative and the values it projects, I rate Hurry Up Pup five out of five stars. I really enjoyed reading this book, and I have no doubts it will be as fun and educational for all children.
