This children's book tells the story of May, a little girl with disarrayed looks, frazzled hair, a toothless smile, and freckles. Despite her imperfections, May manages to win the hearts of all. The author has written the book as poetry, with captivating rhyming words.

The story begins with the introduction of May and her imperfections. It follows her as she confidently embraces her imperfections, even in the face of bullying from other kids. May remains unfazed by the negative words of others and finds joy in her world alongside her beloved stuffed dragon. When others call her ugly, May stands her ground with fierce determination. Fueled by self-love, she remains undeterred from finding happiness. Eventually, her unwavering self-assurance causes the other kids to recognize her inner beauty and appreciate her for who she truly is.

The book is filled with colorful illustrations, with a short sentence in bold font on each page. The cute illustrations effectively express the characters' emotions. This book is bound to captivate young children with its vibrant illustrations, and the short sentences will motivate them to read. Older children will appreciate the rhyming words. Parents can read the book along with their children and discuss important themes such as bullying, low self-esteem, self-worth, accepting one's flaws, and loving oneself.

May teaches many valuable life lessons for kids. Nobody is perfect in this world, and with lots of competition and comparison, kids tend to have low self-esteem. She inspires them to accept and love themselves. She also shows them how to tackle bullying boldly. With confidence and joy in her eyes, she proves that beauty comes from within us. I believe that May will provide self-confidence, love, joy, and courage to the kids reading the book.

I hope that adults can also get inspired by May's story. We often compare ourselves with others and forget to love ourselves, which can lead to a loss of self-worth. When we read this book to our kids, it also helps and guides us when we struggle with low self-esteem.

I highly recommend this book for young kids. This book will instill valuable messages in their tender hearts. The editing is incredible, as I didn't notice any errors. I didn't dislike anything in this book. So, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

I just finished this book it's so good I can't just explain in words how good it was the writer has explained everything so nice I would recommend it to everyone especially for kid under 10 year they'll love it

This children's storybook addresses bullying, and self-love among other things. The message it gives is strong and clear. We must love ourselves. When people see that we love ourselves, they see our inner beauty and are inspired by us. Probably, they wish to be like us and to love themselves. I like that this book is written in rhyme and that older children can learn to read this book. I appreciate that you mentioned parents can benefit from the lessons in the book, while they read to their children, as they may have scarring from when they were bullied at a younger age. Great review!
