Review of The Bear with No Hair and the Mystery of the Stolen Fur Coat
As Benjamin the Bear was looking for berries in the Deep Forest, he came across Giselle. Giselle was known to be beautiful, and when she saw Benjamin, she became envious of his fur coat. Wanting it for herself, she devised a mysterious plan to get the coat.
The Bear with No Hair and the Mystery of the Stolen Fur Coat by Michelle Reneè Avis is an interesting bedtime story for kids. One of the characteristics that stood out in this book is that it was short, entertaining, and educational. The characters are well developed, just in a few words. We can see how much the fur coat means to Benny and the beauty of Giselle and how much she is willing to keep up her standards.
Through their character, children will learn a lot about friendship while having fun. The book's illustrations by Creative Miraz made the background of the text. I love that the transparency made it easier to read the text.
Within the story, Michelle employs rhyme, breaking monotony and encouraging participation. The conversations were lively, relatable, and dramatic. The tone, pacing, and expression bring the story to life. I was sad, happy, ashamed, and even thankful in sync with every moment.
I rate The Bear with No Hair and The Mystery of the Stolen Fur Coat by Michelle Reneè Avis 4 out of 5 stars. Children will learn a lot by reading this story. The illustrations are calming and entertaining. However, I found a few errors, and these affected the reading experience. They are not many, but for a small book, are a great percentage of the text. This is the only aspect I disliked and deducted a star for it. Otherwise, the book is the perfect addition to a bedtime story collection.
I recommend that every parent get this book as a bedtime story and teach their children the importance of forgiveness and friendship.
