[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Smarty the Brain stories" by Brian S Hamilton.]

All parents want their kids to be safe and make good choices. Children sometimes jeopardize their safety and the safety of others by making bad decisions. In Smarty the Brain stories, Brian S. Hamilton uses an accident from his past to teach children how to make safe choices. Smarty is a young brain who does what he can to keep himself and his friends and family safe. Moody is another young brain who has made some questionable choices. After becoming friends with Smarty, he changed his ways. He even helped other children make safe choices. Each of the stories teaches children how they can keep themselves and others safe in various situations. What a fabulous way to teach small children about safety.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading these stories. The safety message is clear and easy to understand. I like the cute illustrations, and I'm sure children will enjoy them as well. The stories are all short and will hold a child's attention. I especially liked the story about the skateboard. The author really detailed how to stay safe on a skateboard.

There is only one thing I would change in one of the stories. In the snowmobiling story, the timeline is off. It wouldn't be noticeable for children, necessarily, but it made me stop to read it a few times. This issue does not detract from my enjoyment of reading these stories. It's simply an observation.

I give Smarty the Brain stories by Brian S. Hamilton 5 out of 5 stars. It was a joy to read and educational as well. I look forward to reading more stories from the author about how to keep the brain safe.

I highly recommend Smarty the Brain stories to parents and educators. The stories are good reminders for children of all ages, not just preschoolers. Everyone will benefit from helping to keep their brain protected.

"Smarty the Brain" stories, praising the book's ability to teach children about safety in an engaging and easy-to-understand way. Despite the fact that I am twenty-two years old, the children books' cover art and title still managed to pique my interest. I am glad that you found this book entertaining and enjoyable. I am definitely putting this book in my want-to-read shelf.

Smarty the Brain Stories is a fun and educational kids’ book that teaches brain safety through short, simple stories. Smarty is the careful one, Moody is the reckless one—and each story shows what happens when you make smart (or not-so-smart) choices.

It’s great for kids 3–5, with bright pictures and clear messages. Sometimes the lessons are a bit obvious or more for adults, but overall it’s a useful tool for teaching safety early.

O livro conta histórias curtas sobre um personagem chamado Smarty, que é um “cérebro” jovem que ensina outras crianças a fazerem escolhas seguras. Ele ajuda o Moody, outro cérebro que fazia escolhas erradas, a mudar de comportamento e até ajudar outras crianças também. Cada história mostra uma situação do dia a dia (como andar de skate ou andar de snowmobile) e dá lições de segurança.

Eu gostei muito do livro porque ele é divertido, educativo e fácil de entender. As ilustrações são fofas e os textos são curtinhos, então é ótimo pra crianças pequenas. Minha história favorita foi a do skate, porque o autor explica bem como se proteger.

A única coisa que achei um pouco confusa foi a ordem dos acontecimentos na história do snowmobile. Mas isso não atrapalha a leitura.

Dou nota 5 de 5 porque o livro é ótimo pra crianças, pais e professores. Ensina de um jeito leve e ainda ajuda a criar bons hábitos de segurança.

Your appreciation for how the author uses a past accident to teach kids about safe choices is key, and the characters of Smarty and Moody sound like excellent tools for illustrating good decision-making. The idea of learning about safety through the adventures of "young brains" is indeed a "fabulous way" to engage children.
