I read this beautiful book 2 years back and finally I have got time to read it again. The Sweet and Simple is set in the 1940s in Sri Lanka and describes the lives of two families who are relatives. The father of these families are cousins but yet different with their lifestyles due to their status symbol. The story basically focuses on the daughters from each of this family, Tsunami and Latha. Their friendship begins in childhood through the love of reading and fairy-tales and despite many obstacles they reunite again in their young adulthood.

I'd really like to come across someone who has read this book. Not many readers I have come across have read this book. So let's see how many do I find on this platform. :D
