This seems to be a very sad tale where Marcellus chooses power over love. I empathize with Catrin because she has lost everything. Great review but, oh, so sad story.

I've enjoyed following Catrin through reading reviews. The author sounds very capable, particularly at character development and imagery. Thank you for the introduction to this book.

I really like stories that are easy to follow, so that I don't lose my mind trying to remember what's going on. But I'm not sure I enjoy the romance genre very much. Thanks for the review and recommendation!

I’m not really into historical romance, and I haven’t read the first two anyway. I’ll pass on this one. Great review!

It was quite amazing to know that this third book begins with the enslaved life of Catrin and her sufferings.

The storyline is good. The character of Catrin seems fascinating. I am interested in reading the first two books too. Congrats on BOTD!

The plot to this story sounds very interesting, and this review just added to that intensity. I like the idea of a strong, female lead character. It most definitely seems worth the while! Thank you for the detailed review.

The third book in this series and it sounds interesting. I do hope the forbidden love between Catrin and Marcellus is allowed to flourish. I can't wait to read this book. Linnea Tanner's writing is growing on me.

Catrin and marcellus' forbidden love is not the nicest thing. I can't imagine the pain they go through at the thought of not being together. Great review.

Historical fiction with a romantic aspect is something I would be interested in. Also, I like powerful female characters. The previous two books are already in my TBR list, and I am adding this one as well. Thanks for the review!
