I like this fast-paced book based on a Chinese historical back story. Thanks for the review.

"The Shanghai Circle" by Tony Henderson is a captivating read, taking you back in time to an era of simplicity and manual labor. Congrats on BOTD!

I'd like to know how Davina overcomes cultural restrictions as well as how Irina will survive as a refugee—an interesting plot, I must say.

This historical thriller is set in 1936 Shanghai, China. The triads ruled the city and millions fled their homes due to war. The book transports readers to a bygone era and the author's picturesque descriptions liven the scenes. It's interesting to see Shanghai minus the modern conveniences.
