Unfortunately, I'm not well-read on the Bible so I am going to pass on this one. I do find it fascinating when authors do their due diligence when creating stories that are based on historical events. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

Thanks for the great review! I'm intrigued by the book's astronomical aspect, but I'm not so sure about its political aspect.

"Your detailed review of 'Magi Apprentice' by Dan E. Hendrickson provides an insightful glimpse into the captivating historical fiction surrounding the Eastern Magi depicted in the Bible. It's fascinating to learn about the author's skillful portrayal of villains and the struggles they impose on Rassan, creating a compelling narrative. The astronomical aspect and the incorporation of political and cultural contexts from the BC era add depth to the storyline. Your positive rating of five out of five stars, along with the note on the author's revisions and lack of typos, emphasizes the book's quality. Your recommendation for readers of Biblical historical fiction is sure to resonate with those seeking a blend of action, adventure, romance, and political intrigue. 🌌📚

Excellent review that is highly engaging and well-developed.
The narrative seems quite exciting, and since the events took place over such a long period of time and the locations are not fully detailed, specialists in history have used the history surrounding the Bible stories as the foundation for their research.
The author did an incredible job using his creativity and a lot of elements from the ancient past to build this novel.

“Magi Apprentice” by Dan E, Hendrickson is a historical fiction story that earned BOTD during the Christmas Season. I love the Bible and the story of the Magi/ 3 Kings that traveled west to see the Savior after his birth in Bethlehem. Rassan is the main character and begins the story as a military officer in the Parthian army when he meets a dying member of the Magi order. Rassan never studied the stars but he had no trouble following the Bright Star at night and the Morning star during the day. This was not an easy trip for the Magi since the political climate in the Middle East during the birth of the Messiah. The prophet Daniel interpreted the message in the stars and added it to Hebrew records. I am really looking forward to reading this excellent book.

I have never imagined that there would be a whole story surrounding the Magi in the Bible. It would be great to see what the author has to say and, undoubtedly, the description of the political temperatures and events then is a welcome addition. Many thanks for the fascinating review.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on "Magi Apprentice" by Dan E. Hendrickson. Your review has certainly piqued my interest in this historical fiction novel. It's evident that the author has done a commendable job bringing the Eastern Magi to life, expanding on the brief mentions of them in scriptures, and weaving a captivating narrative around them.

The emphasis on the astronomical aspect and the role of the stars in Biblical events is particularly intriguing. It's refreshing to see how the author explores the struggles against the corruption of messages in the stars and the challenges faced by the religious astronomers during the political rivalries and tensions of the time.

I've never read a story centered on the wise men who went to see Jesus Christ when he was born. Therefore, I'm eager to read this story and learn more about Rassan following the morning star.

Magi Apprentice

In life we all have a purpose and a path that is particularly set just for us. Rassan is one that set out on his path in spite of the challenges and the people against him. As we continue to cheer him on throughout the book we are able to see the truth and why some people are the way that they are.

The depths of “Magi Apprentice” caught me in shock. Conspiracies, secrets, magic sects and a bit of action had not been anticipated from a book that had hints of a story about Jesus. This brought a welcome feeling as it intrigued me. Congratulations on BOTD!

While the book may contain intriguing elements, I don't have a strong inclination to delve into biblical historical fiction at the moment. Thanks for an insightful review.
