Great review - it is a good book indeed, if you end reading, and wish the book had been longer. I know very little about the crusades other than they happened. This is an intriguing topic to me, particularly given today's global turmoil!

Thank you for the review! You are correct in saying it is a short read, but, yes, it does excite you to read more in the series. To the author, thank you for the free download and congratulations on BOTD!

I have no complaints about the book, except one. There’s only around 160 pages in it. I wanted to keep reading and I could have easily read 200 pages more. This makes me more eager to read the next book in the series, though.
Sounds like a good book! Great review!

I was glad to see that this book made it to book of the day. Great review. I love this time period in history. Even though this book is fiction I love the crusades.

Thanks for the review, though I am not sure if I am ready for that kind of topic or book.

I love historical fiction. The short length might be a negative for me, as I prefer my historical fiction to be more meaty. However, since it's a series, I guess the story keeps evolving with each book. We shall see. Great review!

Great review. This isn't usually my type of book but you make it sound so interesting.

Wonderful review! I am surprisingly intrigued. I say surprisingly because this is a time in history that I've never really thought about. However, the fact that this is a historical fiction read (one of my favorite ways of learning something new), I think I will give this read a try! Thank you. :)

Great review! I like the way you explained that the book isn't a unique storyline but is worthwhile because of the way the characters that are real and fictional mix. This sounds like pretty good book.

Great review! I appreciate you mentioning that the book comes from Ruggiero's point of view. I was afraid it might be just a lot of facts instead of an interesting story. I will be reading this soon.

Great review! I am a huge fan of historical fiction and I absolutely love it when authors mix their fictional characters with actual historical figures and events. Your review really made me want to read this book. Great job!

Thank you for the review. It does seem that this would be an excellent read for anyone interested in The Crusades. I find it interesting that you could have easily read 200 more pages, but I guess that is why the author(s) of any book keep it short...to keep you wanting more!
