I am not a fan of war novels, make them into a movie and you got me. But I am sure Jamie and Jack had to turn a lot of tricks in trying to succeed in the war.

I don't know, I want to read it, but I'm not seeing anything to entice me to read it NOW as opposed to later when it's sat on my shelf for a year or so.

lovely review about the war and espionage book which depicts the scene during world war 2 in which after Syrian campaign the protagonists James and Jack were transferred to Cairo to play a role of intelligence officers. This place already crowded with other nations intelligence and makes it a wonderful scene to read
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Thanks for this review. The fact that you only caught one grammatical error says a lot about the editing of this novel. Pretty impressive. I don't think I will read due to my disinterest in the plot.

This is a great review! I only read the sample myself, and I agree that this book is very suspenseful and well-written. I really want to find out whether Jack and James succeed in their mission in the end. This book most definitely seems like a great choice for fans of historical fiction, such as myself.

Wonderful review. The sample is quite captivating. I have always loved stories that deal with mystery, thrillers, war and espionage. It's a deadly combination. Being set in the 40's and bringing up history makes even more exciting. I would definitely give this book a try.

I'm a big fan of historical war-fiction, and it is always a bonus when an author can expertly portray an era to his readers. It sounds like this author not only nailed the historical aspects of the African campaign, but also wrote great characters, had a bit of humour, and threw in plenty of intrigues.

I currently need a break from historical books, I shall save this trilogy for later because the Egyptian theme is so hard to pass. Congratulation on being BOTD!

This read seem a lot intense, and there seems to be a lot of action involved. The cover illustration needs a lot work. Thank you for your descriptive review!

When you think of the classic spy novels, what readily comes to mind is Ian Fleming's 007, Graham Green, Jason Bourne series or even the Indiana Jones, to a certain extent, among others and these adventures occur throughout Europe and Asia. This novel takes on one of the most dangerous times of the Twentieth Century, WWII, and creates a realistic story that one begs to question whether such events actually occurred. It is that kind of story. Well Done.
