A dark romance with a female lead? Count me in! Although I do hope all the obstacles faced by Catrin lead to a happy ending with her husband Marcellus. Can’t wait to read the series as I enjoyed the sample book!

What an interesting review! You've written the plot in a way that makes me really curious to read this book. Marrock seems to be like some of the leaders we still have in the modern times. Power can really corrupt anyone.
Thanks for the review!

It feels a bit weird reading the fourth book in a series first but the sample I read was fast paced and mostly easy to understand. I would like to know more about the dynamics between the characters as all one get is true hatred from them.

Great review! You really must want to take over the throne if you cut off your father's head to get it. This sounds like an action-packed book with a lot of twists and turns.

"Skull’s Vengeance" sounds like an epic blend of history, magic, and forbidden love. I’m especially intrigued by Catrin’s journey, the Roman-Celtic tension, and the dark druidic elements. Definitely adding this to my list—sounds like a thrilling, immersive read! Congrats BOTD!

Great review indeed.I love such stories where we get lessons to learn from. The author has mixed the characters well in that we can learn about people who are over ambitious like Marrock and obviously end up badly.Others exercise temperance and end up well while some cultures are unfair to others.Well done author Linnea Tanner for writing wonderful work.Recommended to romance books readers.Congratulations for being the BOTD.

The mix of history, romance, and dark magic sounds intense and gripping. The forbidden love, power struggles, and supernatural elements make it seem like a thrilling read, especially with how well the historical aspects are woven into the story.

Skull's Vengeance by Linnea Tanner seems to be an interesting story about a lady, Catrin, who wishes to rescue Cantiaci Kingdom from the hand of a bad ruler, King Marrock. I am reading to know if Catrin succeeded in her quest.

This review does an excellent job of highlighting the blend of history and fiction in Skull’s Vengeance. I appreciate how the author wove real historical figures like Cunobelin into the story, adding authenticity to the narrative. Catrin’s journey, especially with the weight of destiny on her shoulders and the forbidden love angle, sounds compelling. The mention of her time as a Roman slave and gladiator makes me curious about her character’s resilience and development. It’s also great to know that even though this is the fourth book in a series, it still stands well on its own. Thanks for such a detailed and insightful review!
