It sounds like a profound exploration of faith, love, and war, woven together with a unique narrative style. The depth of the author's personal struggle with faith and the beautifully painted journey of the narrators discovering their spirituality really caught my attention.

Contrary to the author's submission, imagination is powerful but not more than knowledge. The story seems intriguing. Congrats on BOTD. Nice review.

I believe that religion should be optional. Even parents should allow their children to make their own choices when they come off age. I hope this book gets into the hands of folks who believe that religion is superior to others.

It is a complex book made of five books. It is a story of faith and how we focus intensely on thing that then become reality. The author focuses on war, too.
Book allow you to fully explore a topic and immerse yourself in a deeper way than most media today. Mark Zuckerberg.

Love Letters to the Virgin Mary by David Richards is a love story with two narrators; one is about a Spanish soldier who writes to his lover, and the other is about a child who talks to Jesus as his imaginary friend. I'm not too fond of stories around war, so I respectfully skip this one. Congratulations on the BOTD!

The book "Love Letters to the Virgin Mary" by David Richards, tells the story of a love letter, and also tells how imagination is stronger than knowledge. Good review :techie-studyinggray:

Your review captures the complexity and depth of the narrators’ journeys beautifully. The struggle with faith and the slow, deliberate path to discovering Christianity resonate deeply, and it’s refreshing to see an author who isn’t afraid to portray these struggles authentically.

It is rather nifty that the title of this book ties in with the author's name, " David."
I like that this book explores "how the major religions exist based on each other's knowledge,
Including Christianity, Judaism, and Islam." It's lovely to see the various themes explored and the inclusion of quantum physics.
Thank you for a lovely review!

I've always felt that imagination is a vital attribute for anyone. The qualities of a visionary leader is a creative imagination. So, I do agree with the author on that part. This book, in general, sounds a bit confusing to me. Why would King David send the Virgin Mary love letters? Great review.

Thank you for your detailed review of "Love Letters to the Virgin Mary: The Resurrection of King David". Your insights on the author's portrayal of faith discovery, combined with romance and soldier life details, offer an intriguing perspective. I appreciate your honesty about the slight confusion with the chapter headings and the initial complexity. Your four-star rating and recommendation to military and history enthusiasts are valuable. Happy reading!

Lovely review!
I like how the author was open about his struggle with his faith and how feelings were expressed sincerely in this book.
It's amusing how the author combined a romance story, grief, and information about soldiers' daily lives.
These are definitely major selling points for me!
One lesson I learned from this book is that "what we focus on, we become."
This is very similar to a point in a recent message from my own pastor: If you want to know how something will look/turn out for you, check your thoughts. Whatever you’re thinking about is what your [current/eventual] reality will be.

Also, from the BOTD email:
Tuesday is named after the Tyr, the Norse god of war. Given it's the Book of the Day on a Tuesday and the heavy theme of war throughout the story, this makes perfect sense!
Clever. Very clever.

Books on religion are usually not my cup of tea. At the same time, I'm curious to find out how the two narrators find their way to Christianity.

Still, I've to pass on this book as the reviewer mentioned the inclusion of quantum physics and the military.
