"Wild World" by Peter S. Rush. An interesting story, Steve on his own side made his right decision of abandoning his law career and then be a police officer so he can make a change. This happened when Sergeant Durk came to lecture in the campus. Congrats on your #BOTD.

I love historical fiction! It seems odd to call a book set in the 1960s and '70s historical because I grew up during the '50s and '60s! I guess it was 'way back when' since we are looking at it from 2023! This sounds like a great book. I will have to check it out! Excellent review!

"Wild World" by Peter S. Rush is a novel that begins with a revolution against Nixon's government. At the center of the book is the topic of choices and decision-making, i.e. the consequences they bring with them.

Reading historical books provides valuable insights into how past generations navigated their world and coped with the challenges they faced. By learning from their experiences, we can better understand our own era and adapt to the changes and challenges we face. Historical books offer a unique perspective on the past and help us connect with our ancestors, providing a window into their lives and the world they inhabited. Overall, reading historical books is a worthwhile pursuit for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the past and its relevance to our present and future.

This book did not meet my expectations based on the reviews I had read before reading the novel. The end was anticlimactic for me but your review was wonderful.

I'm not pulled toward reading this book since I don't care much about politics, but I like your honest review. Thank you! :tiphat:

I find it attractive that the story delves into the issue of choice and decision making. Steve seems like an interesting character looking for guidance and moral. Well-developed characters and engaging dialogue are attractive features.

The book sounds exciting and the time period described in the book is rather interesting: the war in Vietman, the protests of younger generations against war, police corruption. That is a nice insight of the problems and ideas of that time. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

I only read a few pages and I could feel that it is really a well-written book. There's an excitement to complete reading to find if he will be able to achieve what he deems right, and will he be victorious over the corrupt system? Good choice for BOTD

The whole war parts doesn't work for me.
But the novel relates how change is constant and how one can turn different in matter of time.

Steve abandoned his career in law to become a police officer because he wanted to make a change in a society that lack morality. From the review, he also wanted to fall into that pit he once condemned. This is interesting and full of suspense to me. Congrats on BOTD.

A well crafted story with a thought provoking theme can be found in the crime thriller "Wild World" by Peter S. Rush, which follows the revolution against government that is sparked by the shooting of five innocent students on campus by the National Guard. The story appears interesting to read.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I really enjoy alternative or what if history novels, always an interesting concept especially with more recent history.

Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare
