The setting has already hooked me in. I cannot wait to learn more about the campus protests surrounding the Vietnam War and a little bit of history by reading this BotD.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

The story keeps the reader’s attention throughout with action. I also enjoy the historical information and the insights to the thoughts and feelings of the time. Another book to put on my historical fiction shelf!

I find it difficult to imagine a situation that warrants police killing students. It is quite a radical move to join the police to be part of its reform. Different feelings prevailed during the Vietnam War and readers may enjoy learning about these. Thank you for your informative review.

I'm curious about what Steve's decision was, and I wonder what he found out. I'm looking forward to this book. Congratulations on the book of the day.

Ultimately, Wild World left me with a sense of both admiration and caution. It’s a reminder that fighting for justice is never easy, and sometimes, the cost of trying to fix a system is higher than expected. This novel is a powerful read for anyone interested in social justice, history, or the moral dilemmas that come with challenging authority.

I loved your review! In 1970, I was eighteen years old and in the midst of all of the protests. Young boys that were my friends were being drafted and never came back from Vietnam. It was a terrible time for our country.

Different generations might view an issue differently just as it is depicted in this review and in this book as Steve has a unique perspective of the war in Vietnam after he joined the Providence police department. An interesting book to grab and read.

I think we must also take time to hear the other side, for me this books lesson is don't be blinded in one side we need to consider also the others saying in the situation. It will help the teen age students to be more care about what is happening to their surroundings.

I like the concept of this book. To incorporate different ideals and beliefs is not easy and I commend the author on writing an amazing book. To take the insights of both sides of the age gap is a great way to picture both sides of the picture for the reader. Great review, very informative and interesting.

Congrats on BOTD!
The novel "Wild World" takes place amid the rallies against the Vietnam War. Optimistic Steve Logan is conflicted over his friends, his beliefs, and the system's hypocrisy when he joins the Providence Police Department.

This is a well-balanced and insightful review that highlights the book’s strengths without bias. I appreciate how it acknowledges the historical significance and depth of the characters while emphasizing the engaging plot and realism. The reviewer’s mention of the book’s neutrality regarding political views makes it appealing to a wide audience.

I imagine it is not easy to write a book on this subject that appeals to people of all beliefs but based on your review it would seem that Peter S. Rush has succeeded in doing that. It is commendable that the author was able to write believably from the various perspectives so that the reader was able to come away having learned something new.
