Not that interested in the History part, would've enjoyed more if it focused on Romance. Will give it a read anyway!

Great review! This book sounds like it has a bit of the epic in it. Character development can really turn a historical fiction novel into a masterpiece!

Thanks for the review. I read through several pages before downloading this book, to see if it suited my taste, as I have no interest war stories. However, this story seems to focus more on the characters and their personal lives, rather than the wars (WW1 and WW2). Your review--which sounds like the war is not the main theme of the story--makes me think that I will probably like it.

Congratulations to the author for getting such a great review. :)

The book, An Undesirable Marriage by Meriel Brooke is so desirable, I think that it will be another one that just cannot be put down quickly. Based in a setting of World War I, I just am a sucker for a historical element when it comes to reading. I will be reading this very, very soon.

From what I could tell, the author did a good job with historical accuracy. There were a few things that I looked up as I read, to learn more, and found the author was on target with facts.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.
