I’m particularly interested in how the author portrayed the espionage and sabotage elements—those always add a great layer of complexity to a story. "Saboteur" by Kevin Murphy sounds like an intriguing historical narrative that delves into challenges experienced during the world war 1.it is a gripping historical thriller that follows Ben Stendt, a morally complex German saboteur, as he undertakes a perilous mission aboard the explosive-laden Mont Blanc during World War I. Adding it to my must read books. Congratulations on being BOTD!

Saboteur by Kevin Murphy delves into the explosive events of December 6th, 1917, when the French ammunition ship Mont Blanc detonated in Halifax harbor, causing massive devastation. But was it an accident, or something more sinister? This historical thriller brings to light the untold story of Ben Stendt, a German-Canadian saboteur, and his possible connection to the disaster.

Thank you for your informative review on "Saboteur" by Kevin Murphy. This historical thriller chronicles the perilous journey of the French cargo ship Mont Blanc from New York to Halifax in November 1917. Tasked with transporting a highly explosive cargo of munitions for the Allied war effort in World War I, the ship faced unexpected delays due to storms, ultimately arriving in Halifax near the end of November. One of the book's strengths lies in the meticulous research and detail that bring the time period and locations, such as Halifax, Nova Scotia, vividly to life. The seamless integration of historical accuracy with fictional elements enhances the reader's understanding and immersion in the storyline. This book is temporarily discounted on Amazon and I have already put this interesting read on my shelf. Congratulations to the author for BOTD.

Hmmm... Ben Stendt is the saboteur? I'd love to know how he did it. Meanwhile, was it not too late for the ship to make the delivery? So many things that I can't wait to find out.
