Thanks for the review, but I detest both historical fiction - especially with the Vietnam War as a backdrop - and coming-of-age stories, so this one's a firm "no" for me.

I'm drawn to books that carries a huge interest in the development of its characters, but a strong plot does carry a desiring effect to attract its audience. It's evident that the author has accomplished his purpose. Thank you!

This historical fiction sounds awesome. I can't wait to see what happens to James and Sam when he gets back from the war.

This sounds like an interesting story to read. And, I like the fact that it is told from two different sides- both from James and from Sam. I, also, could do without the explicit sex scenes. Thank you for a great review!

I like the chemistry between Samantha and James, it jumps off the page right from when they meet. The author does a nice job setting the tone for the book in the first couple chapters. A historical romance set during the Vietnam war sounds like a perfect weekend novel.

I'm not a big fan of the romance genre, so I'm going to pass on today's BOTD. Your review was excellent, though. Thank you! It sounds like the author really brings the events to life in this descriptive, coming-of-age story of love and war. I bet it's an emotional ride! Thanks, again! :-)

Thanks for the review. It's good to know what the characters are like before I dive into the book. It's too bad I don't enjoy antihero book because the plot does sound really interesting.

I'm not big on war stories, but I do enjoy well-developed characters, dialogue and sufficient humour in my reads. This book ex pounds on relationship and commitment amidst a raging war. It should be something, and I'm willing to check it out. Thanks for the review.

A Police Action by A. A. Freda is a historical war novel. I really do not enjoy reading about wars, but I love reading about romance with the exemption of the sex scenes. A good storyline with the description of the chemistry between James and Sam would have been sufficient. Regardless, it sounds like a mix of both worlds, war and love. Thank you, Stacie K., for writing such a wonderful review and to the author, Congrats on the BOTD award!

As a true pacifist, I don't like nor do I read books or watch movies about ny kind of war. So please forgive me, but I choose to ignore this book.

Though this sounds to be a great story. I have not come across anything that really stands out and grabs my attention making me want to just pick up the book and engage in reading it.

I like character-driven books. James and Sam's characters seem to be quite interesting. Also, it would be intriguing to read about the Vietnam war. Thanks for the wonderful review.
