Brandy, Dame of the Caribbean is an exciting and empowering story.
I loved Brandy’s strength and leadership—she’s a fierce, smart, and inspiring character. The action scenes are vivid, and the story kept me hooked from start to finish. A must-read for fans of strong female leads and pirate adventures!"

Brandy, Dame of the Caribbean starts with Brandy l character, a the daughter of of pirate parents The Plague and Scarlet Mistress, both murdered. Her father by his second in command and mother by British admiral. Brandy sails with her husband and friends to help runway slaves. Then her past comes knocking, can she save her family? I like the fact it's a woman lead, has good story line, it jumps back and forth, which can get confusing at times. I only read the sample but plan on finishing, it has gotten my attention as and I've enjoyed it this far.

This sounds like an engrossing historical fiction. Brandy's character screams empowerment and fierce fighting spirit. I am intrigued by the premise of the book and curious to if Brandy will be able to save her family.

This review made me fall in love with the book and I haven't read it yet. It seems the effort of the author to clearly detail the characters paid of for this reviewer. His love for brandy and the relationship portrayed by the reviewer makes this an interesting book.

Dan E. Hendrickson's "Brandy, Dame of the Caribbean" delivers a swashbuckling adventure led by its fierce titular pirate, as she navigates treacherous waters to aid runaway slaves while confronting a dangerous past that threatens the very family she fights to protect.

Congrats on BOTD!
In this compelling follow-up, Brandy, a fearless pirate assisting in the rescue of slaves, must contend with dangers from her background. The story combines action, emotion, and profound information with creative writing, recognizable individuals, and an engrossing plot.

Brandy, Dame of the Caribbean seems like a great book filled with adventure. I like that the book has a strong female main character who does amazing things. Although this is the second book in a series, it seems people who haven't read the first book can read this one without any issues.

I'm not into pirate adventures, but the review convinced me to give this book a chance. If this book impresses me, I'll read the rest of the book series. Thank you for the review.

"Brandy, Dame of the Caribbean" by Dan E. Hendrickson is the second in a series about Brandy Erasmus who was a fierce pirate in the Caribbean, daughter of Erick Erasmus, also known as the Plague, and her mother the Scarlett Mistress. Brandy’s father was killed by Don Lomoche, his second in command and her mother was hunted down and brutally killed by a British Admiral. Brandy hid in Jamaica for 15 years with her uncle Skynyrd to avoid the same fate. Brandy sailed with Captain Joshua, his first lieutenant and her future husband John Edwards, family and friends to hell to track down her father’s killer Don Lomoche, and support Christopher Joshua in his quest to help runaway slaves from the U.S. gain their freedom. This amazing story takes place during 1854 in Kingston, Jamaica. Brandy was raised by her father Erick to be a pirate to be reckoned with. She trained her six-year-old daughter and eight-year-old son to fight using wooden swords the same way she was trained by Zhang Yong. Did she save her family after her husband died? Being the sequel, the author brought readers up to speed on what happened in the first book with a great summary in the beginning of this book. The list of characters was quite impressive and their interweaving history required me to re-read their history and relationships at the beginning of the book. I enjoyed the sample that kept me reading to the last page. I cannot wait to read the rest of the book to learn what happens to Brandy and her children. This book includes fierce fight scenes, espionage, back-stabbing of friends and family, the impact of being part of Prince Albert’s family who was the consort to Queen Victoria.

A brave female pirate sailing with family and friends on the Caribbean sea, with a noble purpose to give freedom to slaves. Now, that's the stuff that great books are made of!
Congratulations to the author 🎉👏
