This sounds like an interesting book of historical fiction set during the Vietnam war. It appears to have a unique perspective on the Vietnam war. Thank you for the thorough review

Historical fiction is my type of genre and so I will gladly read A Police Action by A. A. Freda. I love the book because of it's great themes; love, war, relationships and commitment. I will read this book to explore the idea of Vietnam war in it. Great review!

After reading the book's sample on Amazon and your thorough review, I am pleased to recommend this historical novel and coming of age drama to anyone interested in the Vietnam War or military procedures. Well done to the author on the authentic account!

I read the sample pages, and I agree with you that the author’s life experiences in Vietnam shine through in the writing. Thank you for explaining the graphic sex scenes in the book. That is not to my liking, and I just finished a non-fiction book about the chemicals used on the soldiers by our government, so I cannot bring myself to read this one. Thanks for the great review and insight.

The book teaches us about the history of the Vietnam War, and how the aftermaths changed the life of two lovers, Sam and James. Can't wait to finish this book. Great review,

Wow, the story behind the title is interesting, but your review made it more appealing to me. I have a soft spot for coming-of-age stories. James and Sam's story sounds intriguing as well. I added it to my to-read list.

The history of the Vietnam war is obviously in the background of this story, but the important aspect of this story is a relationship that needs a healing touch for its survival.

The plot of the book sounds very interesting, minus the sex scenes. I'm also reading a war time novel called the Warrramunga's war and it is also very detailed and informative in terms of all that happened during world War 2.

Although I like books about war, somehow Vietnam war I find less appealing. Moreover, when there's a love story that seems more like soap opera to me. Thank you for the review.

Having experienced my father's deployment to Viet Nam at the young age of thirteen, I found this book very interesting. At thirteen I really knew very little about the war. This book has opened my eyes to what was going on so far away.

I this sounds like a great book. I like your review. The way the author uses his experiences to make it more realistic is what really caught my attention. I also want to see how the relationship between James and Sam turns out especially dealing with a pregnancy by someone else.

I would not have known A Police Action was about the Vietnam war without your explanation of the title! I'm a little weary of war-time stories because the sexism is so hard to avoid, so I appreciate your mention of the gratuitous sex scenes. Thank you for a thorough review!

Sounds like an interesting historical fiction. I don't think I'd like the male protagonist from what I read in your review. But I'm sure, he'd make this book more interesting to read. Looks like an exciting way to learn about the Vietnamese war. Thanks so much for the detailed review!
