I am glad the author's writing style is sharp and entertaining and that he seems to master a lot of historical information, especially since the action takes place in Egypt. I am curious how James Munro and Jack O'Brien will fit in and handle the war and conspiracy atmosphere of the 1940s. Thanks for an interesting review!

I don't know why, but I really enjoy historical fiction, especially WWII era. This review is amazing and I would love to read about Jack and James now. Great job!

I'm sure lovers of historical war fiction will be intrigued by this book, but I have to pass based on the war theme. Jacko and Jamie have a wonderful bond and I am hoping they will be successful in their mission to gain Intel on enemy plots. Espionage is a great inclusion. I'm glad you enjoyed the book and the Egyptian setting is bound to be interesting. Thanks for the review!

I like your review and the story intrigues me as well. I think that the historical basis for the story makes it more believable and engrossing. I don't know much about the Nazi's campaign in Africa and the Middle East. All I have learned about is that Commander Rommel disappeared in the African desert. I like the cover art and the sheet of music that is included in the book.

I am not at all interested in historical fiction that focuses on war. Although I do think it is interesting that the author has the characters interacting with actual historical figures. I always find it more enjoyable when historical fiction is rooted in fact. Sounds like a great book for fans of the genre.

This is a very good, well-written
book review with very few spoiler
alerts, which peaks my interest to
read it.

Even though the book is a historical fiction, I like the fact that it contains a little bit of action and romance, which are my favourite genres. I will definitely give this book a try.

Great review. I'm a big fan of historic fiction and this one seems full of suspense and adventure plus it's set in Egypt.

This sounds like an interesting book and I appreciate the insightful review. I’m not currently reading historical fiction, but I’ll tuck this one away on the back burner 😉

Sounds to be a well-developed and intriguing tale set in one of the most volatile pieces of real estate on the planet throughout all of history. Espionage, sabotage, spies and counterintelligence...some 80 years later and the environment on the ground has not changed. Well done review.

I like to read quality war stories. Only not the ones where everything goes about detailed battles, gory and blood, but the ones that have a sound plot. If it involves some master of disguise as well - all the better.

This story sounds like one my husband would enjoy. War stories from the 40's like this one is up his alley. James and Jack sound like interesting characters. However, this is not a genre that I read. Thanks for the review.
