Historical fictions always have lessons and stories to teach us. Stories in time past that makes us understand things in the present. This isn't an exception. Congratulations on BOTD

I love the blend of themes in this book. Romance, ancient mythology, and even adventure. Princess Catrin sounds like a character I would love. The love affair also seems interesting to follow. I definitely want to read this book. Congratulations to BOTD!!

This is an expertly told fantasy fiction story about two Kingdoms, Empires, love and revenge.
The prominent characters whom the story seems to revolve around, Prince Marcellus and Princess Catrin get entangled in love after being delegated on a mission by their respective sides to extract information about the other side's plans whilst preparing for and against an impending overthrow of King Amren's government, respectively. From this story, it's interesting to see how the actions of the royalty is subject to their retainment and control of power, even affecting people who may not agree with their actions. This is a beautiful piece set in medieval times, I like how the author describes the scenery and actions in detail.

Princess Catrin sounds amazing, and her magical powers will keep fantasy lovers glued to the book even if it's primarily a historical fiction book.

Quite the review! Wonderfully constructed and captivating I was as hooked as I was to the sampled pages. This is certainly a novel worth the read. For the lovers of roman theology, romance in a time where propriety mattered, and the intricacies of politics in the ADs; this is one for your bookshelf. A tale of peace treaties and betrayal, arranged marriages, and bitter enemies. There is no shortage of page-turning drama and I look forward to a complete read. Congratulations to the author for being today's BOTD selection!

I’ve long been a fan of books that combine history and mythology, I look forward to checking this one out.
We've longed to see the roses, but never felt the thorns
And bought our pretty crowns, but never paid the price
Find me in the river, find me there
Find me on my knees with my soul laid bare

The power of love can betray even loyalty. Given the precariousness of the situation, it's incredible to know that Catrin fell in love with her perceived enemy.
I would like to know how it all ended.
Great job with the review. Congrats on the BOTD.
