The Kingdom and the Crown Series

Post by mlmviolin22 »

Excellent series!! I would recommend this book series to just about anyone who is interested in the Bible. This three part series is a historical fiction set during the times of the Messiah. It really is great because it is the only historical fiction that is based on scripture that stays true to what the Bible says! When Scripture is referenced in these books, it is practically word for word. Well, then what is the point of reading it? Might as well just go read the gospels right? Well, it really does make the gospels much more exciting. It puts the story of the gospels into the perspective of an average man. Which makes it SO much easier to relate too. Not only is it accurate in reference to the Scripture, it is incredibly accurate culturally and historically as well. I do not normally read books more than once, but this is a series I could read over and over again. It has humor, action, romance, history, suspense, and drama. Another reason I loved this series is because it caters to everyone. Whether you are a Baptist, a Mormon, a Jehovah Witness, or a Protestant. The book really isn't controversial at all. Gerald Lund did a fabulous job on this one. Surprisingly, most people I have talked to have not even heard of this series. I would call it a diamond hidden in the dirt. :D
