Inspiring Book of Poems, Dreams, and Stories by Lisa McCarthy is indeed a book that contains poems, dreams and stories to inspire you to live your best life. It is filled with encouragement for you to let go of self-doubt, believe in yourself, dare to dream, and reach out for the best. From the book, you can see that the author has had some hard times in life but made it through, so she believes that you, too, can make it through the hard times you might be facing.

This book is simple, yet impactful. It's a book that one can finish quickly, yet it's a book that one ought to take time to read meditatively. That's because there are depths in the words that you may not see unless you pause and reflect on the things the author said. I think some parts of the book can be expanded on. There are riches in the words that need to be revealed, which will make the book have more impact on the reader.

I'm not sure if it has to do with the format of the book I read, but I noticed most of the poems are in one short paragraph, looking more like short notes. I think they would be better if structured like the way poems usually are – one line for each statement. That would help bring out the thoughts and rhymes in the words.

Notwithstanding, I enjoyed reading the book and I could see the author's sincere desire to help others who may be facing stormy situations like she did. She made it through, and she's pointing the way to others. There's a simplicity and purity of heart to it all that's really refreshing. For these reasons, I give it 5 out of 5 stars.

The dream about ‘’The Ghostly Child" intrigued me. I paused after reading, trying to decipher the meaning. One of my best quotes from the book is: “You could be an example or influence on someone, but you will only know once you do something.” I agree with that 100%. My favourite poem is "Flourishing Flower". I love the comparison with the living water and the lovely flower. I encourage the reader to not merely read this book on the surface, but to absorb the words straight into the heart to get the best out of the book.

I recommend this book to those facing trials of life, seeking direction and inspiration to move forward. It has a central theme of believing in God and trusting him, with quotes from the Bible, so it's best suited for Christians.

Sometimes the simplest writing carries the most depth if we let it sink in, and it’s clear from your review that this book has that quiet kind of strength. I’m especially intrigued by “The Ghostly Child” dream and the poem “Flourishing Flower.” They sound like they hold both mystery and meaning.
