Artwords, brought to life by the talented Beatriz Robles, is a captivating blend of art and literature that stretches the boundaries of creativity. This literary gem weaves together calligrams, expressive photographs, and thought-provoking redactive poetry into a sensory tapestry that you can both read and visually savor.
In Artwords, words are not mere tools of communication; they are vibrant brushstrokes that paint vivid images in your mind. Robles, who seamlessly combines her roles as both an artist and a writer, has masterfully intertwined her talents to create a truly unique form of literary art. It's like the words on the page come alive, forming breathtaking visuals that enchant your eyes.
What makes Artwords truly exceptional is its ability to go beyond the conventions of traditional literature. Robles takes literary scissors and, with finesse, turns them into a complex work of literary art. In this book, words and art become inseparable; they merge into one. Reading Artwords feels like witnessing a masterpiece being crafted with words, and it's absolutely mesmerizing.
Robles has an incredible gift for teasing your thoughts with her prose, weaving intricate layers of meaning into her work. The fusion of illustration and prose in Artwords is nothing short of imaginative, creating an immersive and thought-provoking experience.
In summary, Artwords, crafted by Beatriz Robles, is a captivating fusion of art and literature that creatively combines calligrams, photographs, and redactive poetry, offering a unique sensory experience. Robles' work blurs the line between words and art, creating a literary masterpiece where words themselves become the artistic medium. It's a thought-provoking and imaginative exploration of the power of words to form visual images, and it's a must-read for art enthusiasts and literature lovers alike. The book has earned praise for its enchanting combination of illustration and prose, with playful and unexpected elements, accompanied by personal photographs and paintings. Artwords by Beatriz M. Robles sounds like an absolute treasure trove of creativity. I'm fascinated by blending literature with everyday objects to tell unique stories. It's like a whole new way of experiencing art and words. Your description of the comb photo and the intimate moments intertwined with words have me intrigued and amused at the same time. I'll definitely be checking out this book, and I appreciate your review for giving such an engaging glimpse into its contents!

My favourite parts of this book were the photographs that mixed literature with ordinary objects since they caught the simplicity and casualty of people's daily lives. For example, one of the photos has a comb with words that make it look like a woman is talking to her comb about how the object gives her confidence and makes her feel pretty.
- This sounds curious & fascinating at the same time. I must see it for myself.
But I also enjoyed the author's metaphors about sex and intimate moments that united words and pictures to form short narratives with unusual endings that made me laugh and reflect on life too.
- Laughing & reflecting on life is what I like to do too. An excellent review. thank you.

Calligram uses words to form images and pictures, and since Robles inspires from ordinary everyday objects, she showcased this technique brilliantly in Artwords.
