Archie Luper's "Heart and Harmony: Poetic Reflections on Legendary Singers" uses poetic storytelling to explore the lives and musical legacies of fifty legendary singers. Each chapter opens with a singer's biography, career, and influences; it then expresses the singer's journey and struggles, and it's written in a consistent poetic style.

biography written in a poetic format? I can appreciate an anthology of poems for a tribute to legendary singers. Seems like this book is very well written and researched. To be honest, m most likely do not recognize many music legends in this book. A must read for music lovers and poets alike. Thank you for an insightful review.

Many of us listen to music without having the slightest idea about the background of the artists who produced those songs. I want to read this book to learn more about the artists we listen to. Thanks to your detailed review, this book has piqued my interest. This is a good recommendation.

This book pays homage to artists who have mastered their craft in entertaining audiences. It would be perfect for music lovers. However, I don't read nonfiction, so I'll skip this book.
