Poems are not really my thing. I prefer to read prose or even a play. Congratulations on winning BOTD. I am sure poets and people who love poetry will enjoy this book.

"...how cherished memories from the past can aid us during challenging times..." If you have a memory you cherish, it can take you through the toughest times. It could be seen as an escape from reality.

I was never a fan of Drama and Poetry, because considering that English is my secondary language, I still am easily lost in metaphors, double meaning and other forms of word play. Also, I am not a romantic, so the book can't appeal to interest anyway and I will have to pass it. Still congrats on BOTD!

Love and Resistance: a book of poems is a mesmerizing collection of poems by Marie J. Mond. The poems touch on the themes of forbidden love, waiting, friendship, romantic love, and the freedom and transformation that come with love. As human beings, we deal with the complexities of life and relationships, and reading these poems, I was able to relate to most of the feelings and emotions that the poet captures so well in this collection. After this, the poet talks about love, loss, and hope. Although some of the poems are slightly difficult to follow, but they all have a beauty of their own and I have become a fan of Marie J. Mond's writing. The author must get away with the italics used giving the title of each poem. S/he should opt for a more proper format of writing the titles. The poems are very insightful and do not have any errors. The editing is done well. With these reasons, I give the book a 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to everyone who loves books of poetry exploring the themes of love, relationships, and challenges in life.

Your review of "Love and Resistance" by Marie J. Mond is insightful and paints a vivid picture of the collection's themes and impact. The diverse range of emotions and experiences explored in the poems, from forbidden love to domesticity and transformation, seems both engaging and relatable.

Your favorite poem, "Love Child," resonates with the universal theme of a mother's love, which many readers would likely find touching and heartfelt. The concise and straightforward nature of the poems, along with the manageable length of the collection, also adds to its appeal.

Your feedback regarding the use of italics for the poem titles is constructive and could be helpful for the author's future works. Overall, your review highlights the book's strengths and makes a compelling case for why readers interested in themes of love, relationships, and personal challenges would enjoy this collection.

I love poetry. From the review of this book, Marie J. Mond must have put so much into writing this book. I like that the poems are full of love and hope. I look forward to sampling this book!
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

There wasn’t much to read in the sample to be honest, but a book on forbidden love sounds really intriguing. Poems about love and human emotions are always the best kind of poetry there is. I love that there are lessons on how to cope with these complicated emotions, thanks for highlighting that in your review!!!

While the author wasn't kind enough to provide a free sample, the review summarizes the poetry book's main themes of forbidden love and adversity.

I don’t really enjoy poetry, mostly because I don’t understand a lot of it. I am glad, though, that it is around for those who do like it. Congratulations on BOTD!
