Magpie

Once in a blue moon
the birds all sing
as a magpie would
oh wonder if life is fair.

The birds sing
a soft tune
whistling sweetly
oh wonder if life is fair.

The bees buzzing
a dog barking
so frightful, to the magpies
oh wonder if life is fair.

Birds of prey.
Birds of steel,
horrid and wretched
life must not be fair

Oh wonder why life is strange
Oh wonder when life will end
Oh ever wonder if life is fair.
