"Sharing My Story Through Poetry: A Father's Love Letter"

Post by LAWRENCE MICHAEL ARABIA »

"A Poetic Letter to My Son: My True Gift from Divine"

Introduction

Within the hush of night’s embrace, this poem took its form—
A reflection of my journey, a heart weathering the storm.
As a lone father, I traverse a path of bittersweet apart,
Yet my unwavering love for you illuminates my heart.
Though time and trials may stretch the distance we endure,
Know my spirit beats for you—a love steadfast and pure.
This is more than mere words; it’s a prayer, a testament,
For those who’ve lost or longed—know that you're never meant
To walk alone through sorrow’s deep bend.
Here begins the story I vow not to end.

A Father’s Song in Silence

In the stillness where shadows weave,
I sense your laughter, I believe.
Though space may stretch and time may stray,
Love, undiminished, finds its way.
Your mother’s choice carved paths anew,
But in my soul, I carry you.
Half of my being, forever entwined—
An ache that lingers but never unkind.
I look to skies where stars align,
Seeking grace in the Divine.
Each trial endured, each tear I sowed,
Brought me closer to the love I hold.

The Flame That Guides Me

Oh, my son, you are my guiding star,
Your light shines steady from afar.
Though fate may twist the threads we tread,
My love for you will not be shed.
To the heavens above, I lift my cry,
A father’s hymn that will not die.
For every breath, both strong and small,
Your spirit is the beat of all.
And so I vow with open chest,
That in my trials, I’ll do my best—
Though distant lands may hold you near,
You are the voice I’ll always hear.

The Unseen Embrace

With steady hands and heart so wide,
I walk this journey side by side—
With hope in stride and tears unseen,
My love still blooms in every dream.
I hold no grudge, I cast no stone,
In silent grace, I walk alone—
But never empty, never lost,
For love, my son, is worth the cost.
Each whispered prayer, each night I cried,
God’s promise stood right by my side.
The pain, the grace, the aching part—
All held within a father’s heart.

End Note

Thank you for joining me in this poetic journey. These verses are not simply words,
but the echo of my healing, my devotion, and my unyielding belief in love’s sacred purpose.
If this reflection has stirred something within you, I invite you to share your thoughts,
your stories, your own journey. Whether you are a father, a child, or a soul in search of restoration—
you are seen, you are heard, and you are never alone.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Lawrence Michael
