Through though maw of dark deceit
Lies a path of light
For only those with willing hearts
And hope throughout the night

Through though maw of dark deceit
Lies a path of light
For only those with open hearts
And good fortune in twilight

Born of tears and sadness
Relationships are forged
Holding in emotions
To never be disgorged

Born of smiles and happiness
Relationships are made
Sharing their emotions
Of sadness only a shade

But then it rears its ugly head
Jealousy untold
Through the fog of happiness
Uncovering hurts of old

Wounds that had scabbed over
Open once more
For all the world to see
Leaving me so sore

I've shown my hand to the world
I've dispersed the mist
Now I wait for your response
Does this thing even truly exist?

I've shown my hand to the world
That's all that I can do
I don't care how long it takes
I will wait for you.

I've shown my hand to the world
I've waited far to long
I've only done what i thought best
But now I know I was wrong.

Through though maw of dark deceit
Lies a path of light
For only those with willing hearts
I will never reach that height.


I wrote this a few months back and I just wanted to see what some other people thought.
