:techie-studyingbrown: “What Grace Means to Me” is an evocative poem that, through personal and spiritual understandings, is able to speak to the phenomena of grace in all sweetness and mystery. The poet walks the line between vulnerability and reverence as he/she/they honesty shares his/her/their thoughts with the reader regarding something that is greater than words. Each use of simple but evocative language is carefully deliberate, allowing the reader to stay connected while also having the emotional weight it deserves. Each phrase connects to the next. Each line carries with it the sense that a reflection is moving forward. The poet works themes of humility, forgiveness, love, and divine love; and the strength of the poet’s voice is clear and gentle in its authenticity. As each of the readers knows from experience, poetry that is earned, as opposed to preached or philosophized is far more convincing and transformative and the author takes recollections of playing with it with both love and trust.
