You are gone

Post by Nisha DSouza »

I think of you all the time
And miss your gentle smile
I turn around to see you
But you are gone.

I wish I could have said goodbye
I wish I could have loved you more
I wish my heart stopped crying
I wish God let you stay some more.

There are so many things I wish I had done
And so many things I wish I hadn't said
So much hurt that I wish to take back
But you are gone.

Even though you are not here
You will always be in me
Because you gave me life Mom
And made me ME!

I will wait for the day we meet again
Smile at each other with love again
Hug and laugh remembering the days gone by
When we will be together again.

I think of you every minute of my time
But you're gone too soon
I love you mom
Watch over me .

I am not really sure if I should ask this! Is this poem talking about someone's actual life-experience?
The disappearance of the word "I am" is indeed the highest happiness! :)

Hi @Moddesser Elahi,

Yes, it is a poem I wrote in memory of my mom who passed away in September last year.

This is sad. I wonder how you guys finish these genres and books. I would tear up every other page flipped. The writer really wanted you to feel the loss of a loved one and that's a good thing because we can all relate to it.
