You are gone
And miss your gentle smile
I turn around to see you
But you are gone.
I wish I could have said goodbye
I wish I could have loved you more
I wish my heart stopped crying
I wish God let you stay some more.
There are so many things I wish I had done
And so many things I wish I hadn't said
So much hurt that I wish to take back
But you are gone.
Even though you are not here
You will always be in me
Because you gave me life Mom
And made me ME!
I will wait for the day we meet again
Smile at each other with love again
Hug and laugh remembering the days gone by
When we will be together again.

I am not really sure if I should ask this! Is this poem talking about someone's actual life-experience?Nisha DSouza wrote: ↑04 Apr 2024, 13:23 I think of you all the time

Yes, it is a poem I wrote in memory of my mom who passed away in September last year.
