Concerns regarding upload of government id and paypal

Post by Aarya Gondkar »

Hello. I was recently emailed about this site requiring me to upload my location details and my picture with a government id. I did not know how to react as I have not been asked the same any time before. I live in India and i am a little skeptical about this step. I hope it is understood that my concerns about uploading sensitive information online, even with a site such as this that i trust, is a little scary. Can i upload my id while masking out the id number? Is it safe? I do not mean to be rude, this is simply a genuine concern. Also, can I request for a change in my paypal address?
Thank you.

Hi @Aarya Gondkar! I also live in India and have been associated with this club as a reviewer for 6 years now. Personally, I assure you about the credibility thing, and you do not need to worry at all in this regard. For the PayPal thing, the concerned staff should tell you here, or I suggest that you should contact through the "Contact Us" tab. :)
The disappearance of the word "I am" is indeed the highest happiness! :)

Well I can relate to your concern about your safety but it is also very important for the site to get rid of scammers and this helps in doing so and also getting rid of scammers benefits us reviews as it presents us with more opportunities.

I too have qualms about posting an ID on any internet site. Especially with the recent worldwide breach of personal data that we are still dealing with the consequences of. If we did not need the information uploaded before, why all of the sudden is it necessary now? That’s a bait and switch deception to me.
