The only difference there could be between races is the cultural connection between them. I love reading African (so far I don't think I readany African-American) authors exactly because I know I'm in it for the cultural side of it. There are so many wonderful authors everywhere in the world. I love any books as long as they are well-written: I don't care if the author is North-American, South-American, European, African or Asian. What I care about if is the book has substance and teaches me something that I can carry with me for the rest of my life. That's a great reason for reading books.

Now, I don't see how can this be an issue.
I love authors of every race, gender, age and creed.
