My experience on paying through credit card online was not good. An app almost ripped off my 1 month salary in my bank.Lincolnshirelass wrote:I only use cash, a debit card, or occasionally contactless. I now have specifically asked the bank for an account that won't let me go into the red as a couple of years back, at a very strange time in my life (but not making excuses) I got into debt. BTW, does anyone still use cheques? Personally I mourn their demise! If, say, you're paying a tradesman - builder, plumber, etc, they may not always have the facility to deal with plastic, but it's more 'official' and provable than cash in hand.
I had used cheques back in Philippines during Christmas, when I applied for loans and maternity incentives. Unlike some cheques where the banks are giving you blank notes, those cheques were given in one-time full check value. That means, I can't keep it for a long time. I had to encash ASAP.
