The only actor who appeared in two different TV shows broadcast at the same time on two different networks was Jim Backus. he was on Gilligans Island on one network Sunday nights and on another network at the same time as Mr. Magoo.

WOGP stood for "WORKING ON GOVERNMENT PROJECT."

There is a small town in Kentucky just across the Ohio River called Rabbit Hash with a population of 7...several dogs...a few cats...a pot-belly pig and an 1800 General Store. The town's name came from early trappers who swore that rabbit hash was the only thing you could get to eat back in the day.

Theres a town in the mountains of Utah called Ophir. The story of how it got named is some prospector way back when went over a hill to this valley he exclaimed, 'Ophir.....

The is a town in Wisconsin called De Pere. It purportedly got its name when a man fell out of a boat and when he resurfaced sputtered, "It's deep here!"

Funny. Theres Milton Freewater in Oregon. They were seperate towns, Milton and Freewater and they consolidated them into one town.

Before the French Revolution, Marie (Madame) Tussaud worked for a physician and wax sculptor. He taught her his trade, and her first wax figure was that of Voltaire. However, during the revolution she was going to be executed by the guillotine. She was arrested and her hair was shaved. But due to support for the physician she had worked for, she was released and set to making death masks for victims of the guillotine, including Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, Marat, and Robespierre. When the physician died in 1794, he left his collection of waxworks to her. After the revolution she traveled with her collection throughout England and Ireland, and opened her first permanent exhibit in London in 1835 on Baker Street, the same street on which lived the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes.
