Thanks! I won't. I haven't looked it up yet, but I'll report back when I do! :-)

I am recommitting too. I lost my way last week. I had a cheat day and then never went back to the diet. Now I need to eat those veggies and protein instead of simple carbs and sugar.

Great job, Mel! I'm doing great too... I've lost around 5 pounds just from eating less often all day. And apparently I like prunes, America's superfruit.

This thread is only aimed at those who want to lose weight, but what about the people who want to gain, such as myself? :eusa-think:

Over the past few years I've regained the weight I lost during a year of severe depression, which was about 3st (Americans and the like will have to do the maths themselves). I'm now 10st and attempting to get to 11st ... in muscle. It's not easy for me to gain weight so, as odd as it appears, this is actually an achievement :)

Good job! You can be included in this thread. It didn't even occur to me that there'd be people who want to buff up and put on some pounds. You lost me with the 3st and 10st and 11st--I actually don't know what that means at all! :o But great job anyway, since I gather you've achieved your goal of adding on!

I have the same problem--I mean, I really want to keep losing weight, but I have very little muscle mass. I'm physically weak, and I always have been. So you and I both want to add muscle, although I want to lose fat and you don't need to lose fat.

One thing that has helped me with muscles is woodworking--carrying around lumber, cutting lumber at the saw, lugging power tools down to the basement, etc. I actually have marginal biceps now! I know you probably don't have access to woodworking tools, but anyway, I guess the point is that it was a physical activity that I loved.

Keep up the good work!

Eat lots of protein. That will certainly help with gaining muscle.

There's also a supplement that's reasonably safe called CLE that supports muscle growth. From what I understand, it works gently to help transform any fat into muscle. It could supplement exercise nicely. (Don't quote me on that. I haven't researched it in a long time.)
