Maybe in spirit he is. He died years ago. I heard that story while working in a gas station, the guy who bought the car was a regular customer. As most of you who deal with the public know, you run into some strange situations. Ive run into a few. Probably the strangest is the incident about the police car.

Back to the subject. Ill have to say the car I have now is one of the best cars Ive ever had. Its a 2002 Malibu. Ive had it 6 years, and have had little trouble with it. I had a new computer put in a couple years ago, thats about all Ive ever done to it. It runs like a top, gets 30 miles to the gallon.

For " reliability " nothing beats a Toyota.....for years my little joke was: " for every Jaguar sold they should throw in a Toyota ! "...sorta like a TWIN-PACK...my mechanic told me: " if everyone owned a Toyota I'd be out of business "

I had a Toyota truck I beat the hell out of. Hauled firewood pulling a trailer, hauled scrap metal, usually twice what it was supposed to carry, and that thing ran and ran. Never had a bit of trouble with it.

Yup, I have a Toyota. Bought it only a year and a half ago, but I've put nearly 40,000 miles on it in that time. Had to replace a headlamp. That's it.

The truck I had I had to replace the engine, and that was because of a freak thing. One of the spark plug rings somehow got down into the cylinder and ruined the engine. I lucked out, a friend had an old Toyota sitting in his lot. he sold me the engine for 50 dollars and we put it in and drove that thing another million miles. I bought a Ford Ranger and gave the Toyota to my son-in-law. Should have kept it, the Ranger was OK but was expensive to maintain and uncomfortable to ride in for any distance. I had it about a year and sold it for 300 dollars, what I paid for it. The guy I sold it to had it for about a week and it caught on fire and totaled it. Lucky for me, unlucky for him.

Thats crazy. Reminds me of a Canadian 65 Chevy I had that I had to order an oil dipstick from Canada for. I think it was around 3 dollars.
