Same thing with Walmart. Most of the ones I have been to across the US are fine. The worst one with the rudest people was in Naples, FL.

It also depends on where you are. In my little mountain town in TN even the scariest looking people hold doors open and call you ma'am and sir in the Dollar General

DMV can be a pain thats for sure especially in the bigger cities. Hurry up and wait. Luckily where I used to live they only came around once a month, the last time I was there one person was ahead of me.

Coney Island in NYC.. It was very dirty the last time we visited. I don't know how it is now; it has been years since we have been.

REally??? I always heard that was a great place to visit. I would know nothing at all because I have never been to that part of the country. I would like to see it for myself, but dirty is a major turnoff.

Alynn, it has been many years since I have been to Coney Island. Surely they have improved it since then. NYC is a beautiful city with many beautiful sites to see and places to enjoy. Coney Island is definitely a landmark you should visit at least once. However, they have other parks you might enjoy even more. But definitely visit NYC, its very beautiful!!

I guess most places has some form of dirty underbelly that most visitors do not get to see unless they make a wrong turn or somewhere along their travels.

That can suck. Another is the filthy, stinky, poorly run 16th century horror they called a rest home they put my mother in. Not for long, tho. I got her out of there fast and got her into a decent one. Those places are depressing. Its the train of life's last stop before the graveyard.
