You Aussies have sure had a time of the last few years. Storms, wildfires seems like they hit you guys all at once. You have my sympathy, hope you all can get your lives back together before too long.

I'm ready for this cold spell to be over. It's 10 below zero with winds at 20 mph making for a 30 below windchill. No snow, but sure is freezing. The weather all over the world is really strange this year.

Brrrrrr. And I thought it was cold here at 40 degrees. We had a cold snap a couple weeks ago, it got down to freezing a couple mornings. Two days later it got up to 80. Again, Brrrr.

Sounds like our city of "Melbourne". Hot, sunny and shiny one minute. Freezing, cold and raining the next. :D

This is a classic case of being careful of what you wish for. I have been complaining that we are not getting the moisture we need..it's goin all around us..but this is March in Mnnesota and anything can happen. First we got 6 inches of snow. Great! Then 40 degree temps. Snow is melting..still okay..now it freezes..then we get rain and more rain on top of the ice and the only place for it to go is our basement  On top of that the sump pump's running..good, right? However the outlet is plugged with ice and covered by snow so we can't even find it. What a day we had yesterday. The good thing is that we caught the problems before they got too bad. I won't complain about the weather anymore..well, at least not until it hits 90 degrees this summer lol:

@Phoenix. Sounds like it, doesn't it? Actually I live in Southern Minnesota and really like this area. But once in a while Mother Nature pulls a fast one on us and this is our year!

I woke up this morning with a dose of cold, sore throat, headache & pains all over. All round generally miserable. I think I'll be spending this St Patricks Day snuggled up in bed. :( :( :(

 I'm so miserable because I rushed off to the pubs, thinking that all my friends would be there because it is St Pat's. And there wasn't anybody to be seen. They must have all gone to church instead. And now they'll all be talking about me behind my back, and saying what a wicked fellow I am to miss church, and to go to the pub instead.

Just heard the sad news of the death of author James Herbert, a fantastic storyteller will be sadly missed.
