The jazz trumpet player Louis Armstrong smoked a joint almost every day of his life, but he wanted to keep it secret because he was a role model for kids. One of his early songs Muggles, was a term that black people used for pot.

Frankenstein was originally supposed to be grey. The actor was painted with green paint to get a better grey on the black and white film.

I thought so too but apparently it's not at all a novelty. I've heard lots of farmers & people who work with animals say they have often come across animals in all species who are apparently gay. As with humans I guess it's just Mother Nature's diversity.
